i think the easiest way to beat the game is to use this strategy:
start working as sweeper increasing your exploration until it goes to 500, then start exploring—>if you’re lucky you’ll find new frest places such as forest retreat that gives you prestige or better…. if you unlock dungeons, do only 1-2 skull dungeon.
Next you have to unlock as quickly as possible the advanced combat training, and when possible, buy the king sword and the other items on sale at the piety and prestige shop.unless you find a lifesaber, buy also the sword of the ancients

Alright. I would love for some input on this game. I have tried virtually every method of leveling up / combat in this game and I am just absolutely stumped. How much combat (Melee, armor, magic resist, magic, etc) do you need and about what level damage items / protection? I have tried over and over and I an never get past the second stronghold to save my life.

If you go to your inventory (labled “Stuff”) you can shift-click on an item and you’ll be able to sell it. I hope that helps.

Well… I didn’t do so well in the stats area of the other my pet protector games, but in this one..

I was just reading through some comments, and I did indeed clear out every dungeon, but I was not declared a sinner. I did however donate a lot of prestige towards piety, in order to get the halo, wings and boots. Perhaps that’s what it liked?
Maybe you can clarify something for me.. I was wondering what gains of piety/prestige were boosted by the stats of your equipment.. For example, resting in the coast gives me 7 prestige. No bonus from my equipment, but I never got a chance to see if the gains from building upgrades were affected. (There’s a sword that gives +80% gain in Prestige, and +80% gain in Piety, which is pretty handy! Not too bad a sword either)
The youth potion is quite handy in the end as well, when you’ve got those strongholds left. (As tougher ones each have a bit more than 1000 materials. Especially the final one – The Root of All Evil)
Perhaps I was just lucky for the rest, but I needed about 80 potions for that final stronghold…

This is a glitch in the game, undoubtedly, but is neat to use if you want to kind of cheat yourself to 100%. I was able to get a thousand gold off of one gold finding in exploration mode. Unfortunately, after the first event, the rest of the available events are skipped.

All of the buildings, besides the Academy and General Store, are found when exploring the world. Hit the “Explore” button while on the map page and you’ll have a chance to unlock new buildings (including the Graveyard).
